Which formats each artifact exports to, what each format actually is, how to trigger them, and how plans differ.

Export & Share
Getting your finished work out of nidavellir is called “exporting”. Save it as a familiar file — a Word document, a 한글 file, PowerPoint, or a PDF — so you can attach it to an email, print it, or keep working on it in another program. New here? Don’t worry — it only takes a couple of clicks.
First, what are these file formats?
.docx (Word document)
The Microsoft Word document format. You can open and freely edit it in Word, Google Docs, or many other apps. Great for polishing a written proposal or handing it to someone else.
.hwpx (Korean 한글 document)
The document format for 한글 (Hancom Office), the word processor widely used as the standard by Korean government offices, schools and companies. Pick this when a document must be submitted in 한글.
.pptx (PowerPoint)
The Microsoft PowerPoint slide-deck format. Open it in PowerPoint, Google Slides or Keynote to keep editing your slides.
A “read-only” document that looks the same on any device — fonts and layout never shift, which makes it perfect for sharing and printing. The trade-off is that it’s hard to edit.
Static website (.zip)
A bundle of web pages that opens straight in a browser, with no server needed. Download the .zip, unzip it, and double-click index.html inside to view your whole project like a website. (A .zip simply packs many files into one compressed file.)
How do I export?
Every export runs from the Export category in the command palette (⌘K). Whatever artifact you are viewing, open ⌘K and search “export” to see the formats available for it.

Press ⌘K → "Export" to pick a format for the current artifact.
Open the tab you want to export (e.g. the proposal).
The formats you’ll see are based on whichever artifact is currently on screen.
Press ⌘K to open the command palette and search “export”.
Only the formats that fit this artifact appear in the list — nothing to get confused by.
Pick the format you want (e.g. .docx).
After a moment the file is generated and downloads automatically — check your browser’s Downloads folder.
Formats by artifact
Proposal → .docx · .hwpx · PDF — export to Word (.docx), Korean 한글 (.hwpx), and PDF.
Deck → .pptx · PDF — export to PowerPoint (.pptx) and PDF.
Whole project → .zip — choose “Export as static website” to save a self-contained static site as a .zip.
Search export commands
Export proposal to .docx
Exporting the proposal to .docx has its own shortcut, ⌘E.
Not sure which to pick? If you’ll edit it more, choose .docx / .pptx / .hwpx. If you just need to show or print it as-is, choose PDF.
Fidelity is high — .docx keeps rich text marks (bold, italic and more), embedded images, table cell merges and a table of contents/outline, and .pptx preserves tables, connectors and the theme. In short, the exported file looks almost exactly like what you saw on screen.
Plan differences — on the Free plan, exports (PDF·DOCX·HWPX) are watermarked and capped at 10 per month. Pro and Team are unlimited with no watermark. See Plans & pricing.
Prefer to share the live view instead of saving a file? A read-only link (⌘⇧S) lets others open it right in the browser with nothing to install. See Share links.
Where does the exported file go?
It downloads to your web browser’s Downloads folder. Once it finishes you can open it right from the browser’s download bar or downloads list.
I’m on Free — how do I remove the watermark?
Upgrade to Pro or Team — the watermark disappears and the export cap is lifted. Compare options in Plans & pricing.
