Security & Privacy
If this is your first time here, your first question is probably “is my information safe?” — and that’s a fair one. The short answer is yes. nidavellir handles your account, your payments and your content in deliberately different, careful ways so you can work with confidence. The essentials are simple: we do not store your password or card number, the work you create stays yours, and sharing only happens when you turn it on yourself.
In one line — you don’t have to change any setting: your projects are private from the very start. Someone else can only see them if you invite them or switch on a public link yourself.

First, a few words explained
A few terms come up below. None of them are complicated — here’s what each one means in everyday language.
Encryption (in transit)
While information travels between your browser and the server, it is “scrambled” so that anyone who intercepts it on the way cannot read it. Think of it like sealing a letter inside an envelope before mailing it.
Merchant of Record
The company that legally handles the sale on our behalf. For nidavellir that company is Paddle — it takes responsibility for the actual card charge, taxes (VAT) and receipts. That’s why your card details are handled by Paddle, not by nidavellir.
Processing personal data
Any activity that “uses” your information — storing it, retrieving it, or using it to produce a result. nidavellir processes your data only to run and improve the service, and nothing more.
Accounts: Google, no password
You sign in with your Google account (OAuth). Because of that, nidavellir does not keep a password for you at all — Google does the checking, so there is no nidavellir-side password that could ever leak. You never have to create or remember a new one.
Payments: cards handled by Paddle
Payments are processed by Paddle.com, our Merchant of Record. Your card number and CVC are never stored by nidavellir — Paddle, the payment processor, handles them directly and securely. Paddle also collects VAT/tax and issues your receipts, so all you do is enter your card in the checkout window.
Content: ownership stays with you
You retain ownership of the content you input and create — proposals, decks, prototypes, prompts and uploaded files. nidavellir processes it only to provide and improve the service. And when you hit generate, the text you submit is sent to the AI provider so it can produce your result.
AI output is not guaranteed to be accurate. Treat every result as a draft, and review key numbers, quotes and facts yourself before you use them.
Safeguards & the sharing model
Behind the scenes, these protections work together for you. There is nothing you need to switch on or configure.
Encryption in transit — traffic between your browser and the server is encrypted.
Access controls — access to data and to admin functions is restricted.
Log management & backups — logs are managed and data is backed up.
Security updates — security patches are applied to the system.
Private by default — a project is visible only to you and the members you invite.
Sharing is owner-toggled — a read-only public link exists only when the owner turns it on with ⌘⇧S (Free links expire after 24 hours).
Even when you switch a share link on, it is read-only. People with the link can look at the content but cannot edit or delete your project. If you change your mind, you can turn the link off again at any time.

Are my projects public?
No. By default a project is private — visible only to you and the members you invite. Nothing becomes public unless you, the owner, deliberately switch on a read-only public link with ⌘⇧S.
Where is my card information stored?
Your card number and CVC are handled by Paddle, our Merchant of Record — nidavellir does not store them. Charges, taxes and receipts all go through Paddle.
Who owns the work I create?
You own the content you input and create. nidavellir processes it only to provide and improve the service. Just remember to treat AI results as drafts and review them before use.
