Getting Started

A few words come up again and again in this help center. Skim them once here and everything else reads much more easily.

The words you’ll see most

Project

The workspace that holds everything for one idea — the proposal, deck and prototype all live inside it.

Artifact

One kind of deliverable inside a project. nidavellir has twelve of them, arranged in the order you work (see below).

AI chat

The chat where you ask in plain words and the AI builds/edits for you. It’s on the left of the workspace (focus it with ⌘J).

Command palette

A do-anything menu where you search actions by name. Open it with ⌘K (Ctrl+K on Windows) whenever you forget a shortcut.

Template

A ready-made example to start from. Applying one creates a project already filled with content.

Share link

A URL that lets people view your project read-only. The owner turns it on; viewers can look but not edit.

Collaborator / member

Someone invited to edit the project with you. You invite them by email.

Export

Saving a deliverable as a file such as .docx, .pptx or PDF.

Coherence mode

A feature that keeps your different deliverables consistent with one another.

The twelve artifacts, in work order

Knowledge base (⌘1)

Background notes and material the AI uses as reference.

Research (⌘2)

A board that studies the market and competitors by web search, sources included.

Concept (⌘3)

A board to explore visual directions with images.

Branding (⌘4)

A board for brand identity — colors, type and so on.

Spec (⌘5)

A requirements doc (PRD) spelling out what gets built.

Model

A revenue, cost and KPI projection. No digit chord — open by click or ⌘K.

Proposal (⌘6)

A written document, like a Word file.

Deck (⌘7)

A slide presentation, like PowerPoint.

Prototype (⌘8)

A working preview of a product — a real, running web app.

Website

The public landing page selling the product, running alongside the prototype.

Video (⌘9)

An intro video, as a slideshow or an embedded clip.

Kanban (⌘0)

A board for tracking tasks as cards.
